Information for girls and trans and & non-binary students
Welcome! We are so glad that you are interested in attending our conference. EYH is fun for allgirls and trans and non-binary students of all genders , even if you don't like math, art or science in school. This isn't school. You have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with real women, trans people and non-binary leaders who work as veterinarians, biologists, astronomers, geologists, chefs, civil engineers, paramedics, coroners, therapists, audiologists, highway engineers, astrophysicists, land surveyors, architects, and more!
How does EYH work? EYH is organized by a committee. We strive to recruit talented workshop leaders to serve as your mentors in each session. Once we have determined who is presenting, we publish a brochure that is passed out to schools, libraries, and other public places. From this brochure, you pick the classes you'd like to attend. On the day of the conference, meet us in the Student Union Bldg (Bldg # 27) on South Puget Sound Community College's campus (directions and maps here).
Too old? No way! Just because you've graduated from 9th grade doesn't mean that you can't be involved in EYH anymore! We welcome high school and college students, alumna or not, to assist us on the day of the conference. Sound interesting? Get the specifics here.
