Day-Of Staff
Our easiest and most popular volunteer category is helping on the day of the conference, hosted at South Puget Sound Community College's main campus. Before the conference, volunteers set up signs, assemble packets, organize, assist mentors in unloading their supplies, and run errands around campus. During the conference, volunteers check in participants and parents, give directions, help mentors communicate with the committee, and run more errands. High school and college students can volunteer for EYH and may receive community service credit with their school. Sound good? Email our Volunteer Coordinator. Mentoring Mentors are one of the most essential parts of EYH. Leading the students on explorations of your chosen career will show them possibilities that they might not be aware of. Learn more here. Organizing Committee Committee members oversee the planning and execution of the conference. Members are responsible for finding the funds, the staff, and the participants needed for a successful, smooth-running conference. There are many areas that we would welcome help in. Organizing Committee meetings start in September and are held monthly through January, with a couple extra meetings in late February for final preparations leading up to the conference. Meetings are held on Monday evenings in Olympia. Join us. |
